Marketing vs Advertising

Inbound marketing gives you the opportunity of creating something with a lifelong shelf life. Advertising is in essence spending $1 and hoping for $1.50 back (hopefully $3!). Once you stop spending you are back where you started. Direct mail, radio, door to door and billboard advertising are examples of things you only benefit from when you are spending heavily on them month in and month out. They are short term solutions unless you have a limitless budget. Creating a website lasts forever! (as long as you keep updating it!)
